In an attempt not to totally repeat myself now, I just re-read my Blog Birthday post from 2015 and it is pretty lengthy, so if you want to know about what made me start blogging and what I got up to in 2014 you can read that here.
As with last year I thought about making a cake to celebrate, but I have seriously overdone it in the sweet treats department over Christmas, so for the second year running I sent my Mum up into the loft in search of a picture of me on my Birthday – and the above is what she came up with. Gosh.
The last three months of 2015 were certainly not my most active blog-wise, and it’s something I don’t feel great about. So many other things have been occupying my limited time and headspace, but moving into 2016 things are very different now, and without getting all ‘new year new me’ on you, I’m feeling really positive and looking forward to throwing myself back into all of the things I enjoy.
Despite the inactivity, I haven’t fallen out of love with writing, or my blog, quite the contrary, it’s just that when I’ve actually had time to sit down in front of my computer uninterrupted, I’ve felt a bit… blocked. Thankfully the same can’t be said for my appetite and if anything, I’ve been eating out more than ever, and, now my ‘mojo’ has returned to me, there’ll be over a dozen reviews/round ups (currently half finished in my drafts) winging their way to you ASAP.
I always struggle to phrase this in a way that doesn’t sound cringe, but thank you all so much for reading, commenting and all your recommendations. Also a huge thanks to all of the places in Brighton who feed me and for the most part, do it so very well.
My mega 2015 best of Brighton food post, is going up soon and pinning it down to just one favourite per month was hard, there were so many to pick from. I will never not feel lucky to live somewhere so increasingly diverse when it comes to food, it just gets better all the time – so here’s to another year of sharing it with you lovely people xx
